1. Scope of Content
MJOCS publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed content that advances the science, research, and clinical care of oncology and cancer studies across all cancer types and specialties. The journal accepts:
Original research articles
Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
Clinical trials and translational studies
Technical notes and innovations in oncology
Case reports and case series
Editorials, perspectives, and correspondence
MJOCS welcomes submissions addressing:

2. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to MJOCS undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure objective and rigorous evaluation. Submissions are reviewed by at least two independent experts based on:
Scientific soundness and methodological rigor
Relevance to oncology and translational impact
Innovation and contribution to cancer research
Clinical utility and patient care implications
Clarity and quality of writing
In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer or a senior editor may provide additional input. Authors are expected to revise according to reviewer feedback. Final decisions rest with the editorial board and are fair, timely, and confidential.
3. Authorship & Contributions
MJOCS follows the ICMJE authorship criteria. All listed authors must contribute significantly in one or more of the following areas:
Study design or conceptualization
Data collection, analysis, or interpretation
Drafting or revising the manuscript
Final approval of the version to be published
Responsibility for the integrity of the work
Author contributions must be declared during submission. Guest or ghost authorship is strictly prohibited.
4. Ethical Standards
MJOCS adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. All manuscripts must include:
Institutional ethics approval for human or animal research
Informed consent for any identifiable patient data or images
Declaration of conflicts of interest
No plagiarism, duplicate publication, or data fabrication
Violations will be investigated thoroughly and may lead to retraction or institutional reporting.
5. Open Access Policy
MJOCS is a fully open access journal. All content is published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), enabling unrestricted reuse, distribution, and adaptation with proper citation.
6. Data Transparency & Availability
Authors are encouraged to include a data availability statement and share datasets supporting their findings. Exceptions are allowed for privacy or legal concerns. Data transparency enhances reproducibility and scientific credibility.
7. Corrections, Retractions & Expressions of Concern
MJOCS is committed to preserving the accuracy of the scientific record. The journal will issue:
Corrections for minor factual errors
Retractions for confirmed ethical or scientific misconduct
Expressions of Concern when major issues are unresolved
These notices will be clearly linked to the original articles.
8. Editorial Independence
MJOCS maintains complete editorial independence. Editorial decisions are made free from commercial, institutional, or sponsor influence. Editors and reviewers are chosen based on expertise, objectivity, and integrity. The journal does not permit advertising that may compromise editorial judgment.
9. Appeals & Complaints
Authors may appeal editorial decisions with a reasoned response. Appeals are reviewed by a senior editorial committee. Ethical concerns and complaints are handled confidentially and according to COPE recommendations.
