Mogito Open Access Journals of Genetics & Genomic Research (MJGGR) Publication Ethics
At MJBB, we are deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity, and transparency in academic publishing. Our Publication Ethics Policy is guided by international best practices, including the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and is designed to safeguard the scientific record while ensuring fairness, accountability, and academic trust.
1. Responsibilities of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that all submitted work is original. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism or duplication of previously published work, is strictly prohibited.
Authorship Criteria: Only individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study should be listed as authors. All co-authors must approve the final version before submission.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: All authors must declare any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the research.
Ethical Approval: Research involving human participants, animals, or biohazard materials must comply with institutional and international ethical standards. Relevant ethical approval documentation must be provided.
Data Transparency: Authors should be prepared to provide raw data for editorial review and ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
2. Responsibilities of Editors
Editorial Independence: Editors act independently and are responsible for deciding which articles are published based on scientific merit and relevance to MJBB’s scope.
Fair Peer Review: Editors ensure that all manuscripts undergo a rigorous, objective, and confidential double-blind peer-review process.
Handling Misconduct: If evidence of misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, falsification of data, or unethical behavior) is found, editors will initiate investigations and may retract or reject the article as necessary.
Conflict of Interest Management: Editors must recuse themselves from handling submissions where conflicts of interest exist.
3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Confidentiality: Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents.
Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted fairly, constructively, and free of personal criticism or bias.
Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete evaluations promptly and notify the editor if a delay is unavoidable.
Disclosure: Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest and decline to review when an impartial assessment is not possible.
4. Misconduct and Retractions
MJBB takes allegations of misconduct seriously. We follow COPE guidelines in investigating:
Plagiarism
Falsification or fabrication of data
Undisclosed conflicts of interest
Duplicate submissions
When misconduct is confirmed, MJBB may issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, as appropriate.
5. Open Access and Licensing Ethics
All content in MJBB is published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing readers to share and adapt the work, provided proper credit is given. Authors retain copyright.
6. Appeals and Complaints
Authors and reviewers may appeal editorial decisions or raise concerns regarding the review process by contacting the editorial office at:

All appeals will be reviewed objectively and in confidence.
